Don't respec your way out of a bad plan

Don't respec your way out of a bad plan

RPGs on phones love handing you a respec button, and I think it makes people lazy about planning. In Ashcrown Legacy I tried to build every character to do a bit of everything, and I ended up with four mediocre party members.

The turnaround came when I gave each one a single job. One pure tank, one control caster, one burst damage, one support. Suddenly the turn-based fights had structure and I could actually plan around enemy patterns.

Skill trees reward commitment. The best nodes sit deep in each branch, so spreading points thin means you never reach the payoffs that make a class feel special.

Plan your party before the second act, because that is where the difficulty steps up and half-built characters start falling behind. A clear role for everyone beats flexibility that never gets used.
